Getting to Know Me

I love these "Getting to Know" you posts with questions and answers. This one came from MannLand5.

1. Do you watch/read the news?

I watch the news on TV occasionally if we don't get the TV turned off before 9 PM. It also sometimes comes on while we cook dinner. For the most part, I read the news on the RSS feed from the local newspapers.

2. How would you describe your "look"?

I am very simple- a jeans and T-shirt girl. I've tried to change that at various times, but this is just who I am. As soon as I get home from work I'm out of my professional wear and into my jeans.

3. Did you play sports in high school or college?

Sadly, no. One year I broke my finger at try outs, and the next year I was in a car accident that changed my life. I wrote a whole post about it in my early blogging days. You can read about it here.

4. Would you rather give up lipstick/gloss or high heels?

I don't use/ wear either, so I don't have anything to give up here! Remember that whole thing about being a jeans and t-shirt girl? That applies to shoes, too. Even at work I wear flats, and when I can get away with it my running shoes.

5. What's your favorite show to watch on TV?

My husband and I tend to get caught up on watching a TV series and start from episode 1 through the new episodes. We've been working on "Brothers & Sisters" lately. Every time we get a chance, we watch an episode or two. We are finally in the current season, though not up-to-date to the latest episode.

6. Would you rather bake or cook?

Neither! I would rather stay far, far away from the kitchen! Really, I'm serious. I can't STAND cooking, and baking is probably worse. I would rather clean the bathroom and hire a personal chef. I'm lucky my husband enjoys being in the kitchen.

7. Shorts or skirts?

Neither. We've already been over that whole jeans and t-shirt thing, so skirts are out. I hate the way shorts ride up when I am walking. Now, a nice pair of capris that actually fit me? That's a whole different story.

8. What's your favorite scary movie?

I don't really care for scary movies a whole lot. IF I am going to watch one, I like psychological thrillers. I would say "The Sixth Sense" was probably one of my favorites.
